On Tommy Marren Show: Songs and interviews about the Musical will be featured on the Tommy Marren show on MWR on Tuesday, 23 November, starting at 9 am. Tommy is, of course, also the Director and co-writer of the Wing and a Prayer Musical, and he will have some of the cast in studio, and also linking up with listeners who have fond remembrances of Monsignor Horan. DANA Rosemary Scallon, former Eurovision Song Contest winner, will make a special guest appearance on Thursday night, Nov 25, when she sings her song, Lady of Knock, in the Musical at Castlebar’s Royal Theatre. Not to be missed!
44 members from the North of Ireland will be guests of the Peace 111 initiative at Saturday night’s show. The trip is being organised by Banada Development Agency and Sligo Leader Partnership Peace 111, and will embrace a weekend of celebrations and a seminar. Their trip will include a visit to Tom Hennigan’s Heritage Farm in Killasser, and a talk about the cultural mix in Ballina. Chief organiser is Sean Owens of Banada who organised the weekend to co-incide with the show.
